CForge co-organises une conférence avec Jean-Michel Servet et Frédéric Bosqué à Genève
Le 27 mars 2013, Community Forge a co-organisé une conference sur les sujets des Monnaies Complémentaires et le Revenu de base à la Maison des Associations à Genève
Jean-Michel Servet, professeur à L'Institut de hautes études internationales et du développement, et Frédéric Bosqué, un des fondateurs du SOL Violette Toulouse, ont donné une conferences et ont repondu aux questions des 80 personnes présentes de 18h30 à 22h30.

The 27th of March 2013, Community Forge co-organised a conference on Complementary Currencies and guaranteed basic income at the Maison des Associations in Geneva.
Jean-Michel Servet, a professor at the Graduate Institute, and Frédéric Bosqué, one of the founders of the SOL Violette Toulouse, gave conferences and fielded questions from the audience of 80 people from 6.30pm to 10.30 pm.

Ouverte à tous, elle permettra de fixer les notions centrales d'une MC. Cette journée engagera les chantiers à mener pour évaluer la faisabilité d'une MC à Genève, et pour penser sa conception.
Une participation aux frais de CHF 30.- est demandée pour le repas de midi, ainsi que la location de la salle.

CForge welcomes Ezra Ricci to our team
Ezra Ricci became part of the team on November 1st.
He will be working with CForge on both the Geneva Currency Project (20 hours/week), and the funding requests for our currency implementations in developing countries, such as Kenya (4 hours/week).
He adds to the team :
-his experience in running NGOs
-his academic career in economic research
-his intimate knowledge of the social economy in Geneva
and his keen interest for Currencies as a means to build sustainable economic solutions
Community Forge co-organise une conférence au forum social du haut-commissariat aux droits humains de l'ONU
Vous êtes cordialement invités à une conférence-débat parallèle au forum social du haut-commissariat aux droits humains de l'ONU sur "L'économie solidaire et la finance alternative : un autre modèle de développement?" qui aura lieu au Palais des Nations à Genève, en Suisse, le 3 octobre de 13:15-14:45 salle XXVI.
Un panel de discussion réunira Thomas Greco et d'autres économistes spécialisés de l'institut de recherche de l'ONU pour le développement social (UNRISD) et l'organisation internationale du travail (OIT). Cette conférence-débat est organisée par le service de liaison de l'ONU avec les organisations non-gouvernementales (SLNG), en collaboration avec UNRISD et CommunityForge. Community Forge co-organises an event during the UN Human Rights Council Social Forum
You are cordially invited to a side event of the UN Human Rights Council Social Forum on "Solidarity Economy and Alternative Finance: Another Development Model?" to be held at the Palais des Nations in Geneva, Switzerland on 3 October at 1:15-2:45 in Room XXVI.
The event will feature Thomas Greco but also colleagues from the United Nations Research Institute for Social Development (UNRISD) and the International Labour Organization (ILO). The meeting is organized by the United Nations Non-Governmental Liaison Service (NGLS), in collaboration with UNRISD and CommunityForge. Transition Geneva Region website soon to launch
One of our key partners for implementing complementary currencies is the Transition Network. CommunityForge built the Transition Geneva Region website, which will launch in june.
A collaborative portal which will :
-increase the visibility of actors of the transition movement
-give them the means to collaborate effectively
-give them the tools to build momentum, and a sense of community and a common goal
-make a local currency central to this mouvement.
